Exciting news for the Scottish capital: popular restaurant group Mac & Wild are set to launch a food hall at the Edinburgh St James development.
Headed by Andy Waugh and Calum Mackinnon, founders of Scottish restaurant group Mac & Wild, when open the food hall will become the largest single F&B site in Scotland.
Alongside 5 retail offerings, 8 food stalls, 3 bars and virtual shooting, Bonnie & Wild will run a rotating events program using its demo kitchen and adjoining private dining room. The first of its kind in Edinburgh, the food hall will also feature food stalls from a variety of butchers, fishmongers, cheesemongers, chocolatiers and bakeries.
Bonnie & Wild will aim to celebrate the best of Scottish produce and hospitality whilst offering an interactive experience. Visitors will be able to taste whisky, watch salmon being carved or try out Mac & Wild’s virtual shooting range ‘Smoky Barrels’.
The 16,600 sq ft space is at the heart of the Edinburgh St James development, home to 30 new restaurants, cafés and bars, Scotland’s first W hotel and retail space.
“Edinburgh St James is the perfect location to launch Bonnie & Wild” says Waugh. “We love the fact it is rooted in its community but has a global outlook. Our vision is to bring the best of Scottish produce to the local community as well as visitors from further afield, and we are so excited to create a platform for some of Scotland’s most interesting traders.”
Ed Corrigan of Edinburgh St James adds “We partnered with Bonnie & Wild because of the pedigree of their team and their passion for quality Scottish produce… Scotland has some of the best produce in the world and this will be the best location in Scotland to showcase it.”
