It looks like lockdown will last for a few months longer, so it’s good to see new sites moving ahead with their opening plans. The latest launch is from pizza brand Farina, which is opening a permanent site in Notting Hill having been forced to close earlier last year.
Sticking to their tried and tested formula, co-founder Edy Piro has said with an opportunity of more empty units, the team will also be opening two dark kitchens – one in Vauxhall and one in Camden – so that they can deliver to more areas in London. After all, everyone needs good pizza right now.
If you like pineapple on your pizza, you’re heading to the wrong place. The team are sticking to their focus on authentic produce and championing Italian ingredients and slow fermenting dough for up to 48 hours. There are classic pizzas such as the Napoletana with tomato sauce, mozzarella, olives and capers, as well as a new selection of pasta dishes. The pasta menu will be a rotating regional section changing monthly.
If you’re one of the record numbers taking part in Veganuary this year, then you’ll be happy to hear there’s a new dedicated vegan section, as well as a traditional aperitivo drinks menu. Aperol anyone?
Farina Pizzeria will be open for takeaway and delivery only (of course) when they open on 20 January.
