The rise and rise on meal kits has been a lifeline for many restaurants over the past year – a topic we discuss in depth in our annual Happiness in Hospitality report published yesterday. With lots of platforms out there to support them (Restaurant Kits, Big Night and Resto Kit to name a few), this week Great British Chefs has launched a directory to put all the information in one place.
The new online directory of meal kits features at-home dining experiences from 75 leading chefs and restaurants across the UK. With the aim of encouraging people to support their favourite restaurants until they are able to reopen again in May, Great British Chefs will share the directory with its 13-million strong audience (and anyone who wants to see it!)
“At Great British Chefs we are lucky to work with the best chefs in the UK and supporting them at this immensely challenging time is deeply important to us.” says CEO Mark Bucknall. “We hope our at-home meal kits directory will help foodies discover new favourites as well as reconnect with the restaurants they’ve been missing during the pandemic.”
The directory will become available as part of the relaunch of its online shop, selling boxes from Marcus Wareing, Claude Bosi at Home, Darjeeling Express and Norma Feasting Boxes, alongside many others. All proceeds will go to the restaurants directly.
CODE members, don’t forget to check the app for more than 100 of offers on meal-kits, produce and takeaway nationwide.
