The past year has taught us a lot. It’s reminded us how hospitality is about far more than just food and drink – it’s about conviviality, looking after people and having fun. Ironically, it’s been the thing that people have needed most throughout lockdowns, but we’ve not been allowed to do – either offering or experiencing it. What has stuck with me most over the past year is how – as an industry – we all lost our sense of purpose. It’s not been fun and it’s something I hope we never have to experience again.
All attention is now on hospitality reopening and day-to-day life returning to some level of normality. Our aim at CODE has also been to support hospitality in everything that we do. Membership to CODE is not only a perk of working in hospitality, but it allows our members to support their industry, as well as explore new places and have fun themselves. At a time when the industry needs as much support as possible and to welcome hospitality back, we’re launching our Refer & Rediscover programme to let our members tell their industry colleagues and friends about CODE and share the perks of being a member.
