Crockers Henley to launch with restaurant and rooms

Published 4 March 2020

Building on the success of restaurant Crockers Tring in Hertfordshire, former chef Luke Garnsworthy is now opening sibling venue Crockers Henley. Comprising two 16-seat Chef’s Tables, a bar and grill with overnight accommodation, Crockers Henley will launch in Spring 2018.

Each Chef’s Table takes a different approach to relaxed fine-dining. With Dean Westcar – formerly of Lucknam Park – at the helm, the Thames Table will serve a modern, British tasting menu, whilst the Gardener lead by Iain Dixon will feature Pan-Asian dishes. Both offering a 7-course lunch at £45 and 12-course dinner from £90 per person, and as the names suggest, diners will be able to witness the action in the kitchen first hand.

For something more casual, The Grill will be an all day dining venue serving weekend brunch, steaks and shellfish from the charcoal grill and a range of cocktails designed by head mixologist Ryan Osnowski. Gemma Aldridge is in charge of the wine offering, including a range of paired wine options at the Chef’s Tables.

Situated in a Grade II listed building in Henley’s market place, Crockers Henley will also feature seven double bedrooms inspired by the Georgian heritage of the building. Priced at £370 for two, a one-night stay includes dinner at one of the two Chef’s Table, a three-course breakfast and two glasses of English sparkling wine.

“We’re incredibly excited about our new home in Henley-on-Thames” says Garnsworthy, adding “after working on this project for more than a year with Ian Churchill (operations director), that excitement is reaching fever-pitch as we near our launch date. We couldn’t wish for a more beautiful location in such a wonderful town. The senior team we have put in place is truly a dream come true, and I can’t wait to open our doors to the people of Henley – they’re in for a treat.”
