It feels like we’re months into 2021 already, but somehow it has only been 11 days. Some good news for everyone still going strong and sticking to the Veganuary challenge, as Rudy’s Vegan Diner is opening a second diner next door to its vegan butcher on Islington’s Upper Street.
London’s first all-vegan diner and butcher, it’s no wonder the brand is expanding following the success of their first two sites. The team is hoping to launch later this month and will continue to serve plant-based versions of fast-food classics. Think mac’n’cheeze, baycon rolls, seitan hot dogs and freakshakes. Created by chef Matthew Foster and co-founder Ruth Mumma (Rudy), there will also a new brunch menu on offer.
Dining in is off the menu right now, but there will be home-deliveries and DIY meal kits on offer for north London addresses. If you can’t wait yet, the Islington butcher has now reopened, and there’s also some products including the baycon and pastrami available for delivery.
