Crouch End is a corner of London that’s notoriously difficult to get to, thanks to its existence beyond the bounds of the tube map. But Anthony Lyon’s neighbourhood seafood restaurant is more than worth the effort of the W7 bus. Lyon has experience at some of the city’s top restaurants – including time as GM for Roka and The Wolseley – which translates to relaxed but assured hospitality from the team.

The menu is all about sustainable seafood, most of which is sourced from day boats around the British Isles. When it reaches the kitchen, whole-fish cookery gives lesser used cuts their time in the spotlight, whilst Asian accents are deftly woven through the small and large plates. If you’re drinking, makes sure to explore the wine list which is far from an afterthought here.
