The popular Sri Lankan restaurant Hoppers is set to open in King’s Cross in February. Following the success of its sites in both Soho and St Christopher’s Place- launched in 2015 and 2017 respectively- King’s Cross will be the third from the JKS group.
Hoppers is inspired by the roadside stalls of Sri Lanka and serves family feasting-style food. The King’s Cross menu will contain many classic dishes, including hoppers and dosas, as well as exclusives such as black pepper curry leaf prawn skewers, negombo crab kari and quail kari.
The new site, in Pancras Square, will feature a much larger bar than the previous sites, allowing for an extensive selection of beers on tap- including the Hoppers SPL (Sri Lankan pale lager) in collaboration with Camden Town Brewery. The drinks list will include classic coolers and punches, as well as on-tap cocktails.
JKS successfully runs, among others, the BAO restaurants, Brigadiers and Lyle’s and the new Hoppers will join the list of restaurants opening near King’s Cross, including Arabica and Dishoom.
