Super 8 Restaurants has completed on a location for its new concept in Soho’s Beak Street.
Tomos Parry, the chef behind the group’s Michelin-starred restaurant Brat in Shoreditch, is leading the project, which will take over a two-storey building formerly occupied by Byron.
Under Parry’s direction, Brat has consistently been ranked as one of the country’s best restaurants, standing out in the crowded east London food scene.
Big Hospitality reports that though the new restaurant will serve dishes similar to Brat — large cuts of meat and whole fish grilled over a wood fire (most famously turbot) and plates inspired by Basque cuisine — it will not use the restaurant’s name.
Expect dishes such as smoked cod’s roe, grilled peas, oysters roasted with seaweed, and asparagus with cheese.
