Super 8 Restaurants
Super 8 Restaurants is a group of the most exciting independent restaurants in London. The journey has from a tiny, but soulful Thai Barbecue bar on Denmark Street in 2014 to Kiln becoming the No1 in the UK at the National Restaurant Awards, Brat gaining one of the fastest ever Michelin Stars in the UK to Mountain entering the World 50 Best in it’s first year.
Over the last 10 years our guiding principals have always remained the same, that we want to create restaurants with radically high-quality produce, joyful atmosphere, where everyone feels looked after and we are good to each other.
Super 8 is a creative company which values innovation and supports entrepreneurial thought in our teams. From starting farming partnerships in Cornwall, investing in a dedicated ingredient sourcing team, to putting on extraordinary events with chefs from Thailand, San Sebastian and Italy and taking our team on wine harvest.
The backbone of our growth has been in inspiring, developing and growing our people. We have developed KPs into Restaurant Managers, CDPs into Head Chefs and GM’s into Co Owners.
We are looking for a Head Chef to bring their energy and expertise to our kitchen. If you have a love for quality produce, a knack for team leadership, and thrive in a creative, fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
The Role
- Leading and supporting the senior kitchen management team within the operation and beyond.
- Lead and oversee the flow of service and ensure a smooth, high-quality experience for our guests.
- Grow and develop the team by sharing your knowledge, experience and passion for produce and cooking techniques.
- Accountability of key kitchen administrative duties, such as due diligence, ordering, stock management, and rota planning.
You will have:
- Proven track record of excelling at a Head Chef level within a busy restaurant environment.
- Passionate about produce and committed to working with the best suppliers.
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting, developing and leading a talent pipeline of chefs at all levels.
- Experienced in both smaller and larger restaurant environments with a love for nurturing team development.
- Be adept at managing different styles of service, events and collaborations with a calm presence.
