We are located in the heart of East London in the iconic Olympic Park. Our offering comprises our restaurant, situated on a historic 128-year-old Dutch barge and our riverside Gardens becoming one of London’s finest garden venues.

We are currently seeking a new Restaurant Manager to lead our restaurant and create incredible customer experiences at Barge East. You need to possess strong leadership and management skills and be an enthusiastic, people focused person who is aligned with the values and ethos of Barge East.
The restaurant is currently open 4 days a week (Thursdays-Sundays) until December where we will move to a 7 day operation. Your role will be strictly service based between these hours.
Responsibilities
Oversee day to day operations for the Restaurant including stock management, cost control and drinks menu development
Work with the General Manager to develop and implement growth strategies
Aid with recruiting and onboarding supervisors and FOH staff
Evaluate performance and productivity and PnL mgmt.
Identify, develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers
Implement, monitor, adhere to, and enforce compliance in line with company standards and policies.
Qualification / Experience
2 Year (Minimum) at managing a high quality restaurant
2 Years demonstrable management experience
Strong alcohol knowledge (wine & cocktails)
Strong business knowledge with HR, Marketing, Budgeting and Finance experience
Stock ordering/control experience
Experience with POS and booking systems
Skills:
Meticulous attention to detail, Keen interest in sustainability, Problem solving & being able to think on your feet, Strong analytical and forecasting skills, Strong leadership and management skills, Excellent written and spoken communication skills, Excellent interpersonal skills, Strong organisational skills, Ability to motivate and develop a team
