Location: Central London, based on-site at the various outlets
Hours: Part-time or full-time arrangement considered. 24 – 36 hrs. per week.
About the role
This role’s purpose is to lead and shape our people’s practices and employee development, playing a pivotal role in driving the organisation towards its vision and future goals. You will collaborate with colleagues at all levels to understand their needs and objectives, ensuring that the People and Development plans facilitate positive organisational change and provide a great colleague experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the HR department in its entirety.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
Enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
Develop and implement people and culture strategy.
Update and review HR policies, procedures and guidelines to develop and champion organisational values.
Promote the importance of effective people management, lead the process of embedding great people practice, and continuously review productivity alongside employee development with evidenced training programmes.
Work closely with senior management and site managers to align HR strategies with operational needs. Translate key employee and operational data into a clear and commercially effective HR strategy.
Monitor employee performance, advise, and coach as necessary. To further develop a framework that delivers a motivated and engaged workforce, including recognition, reward, and personal development.
Construct and implement a tailored appraisal system appropriate for assistant manager level and above.
Nurture a positive working environment.
To confidently handle matters concerning employee relations in line with UK employment law to ensure legal compliance is met in all HR activities.
Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion
Give counsel and oversee complex employee relations issues such as grievance and disciplinary cases with professionalism and discretion.
Ability to consistently navigate difficulties and balance the challenges associated with multi-location hospitality operations.
Ability to evidence a clear programme of training for site teams and individual staff members. Analyses the evolving requirements of the multi-site operation to ensure a proactive and innovative approach to staff development.
Deal with staff queries in an efficient manner.
Present to the Senior Management Team.
Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in a similar role in a multi-site hospitality company.
CIPD Level 5 qualification or Degree in Human Resources is desired
Proven HR generalist experience
Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and Employee training and development programmes.
Knowledge of HR systems.
Driven to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Ability to communicate and engage with all stakeholders.
Excellent IT and administration skills.
