We have an exciting opening to lead our kitchen at newly relocated Konjö Sheffield. Our street food sister restaurant to JÖRO. In January we moved Konjö into our original restaurant location at Krynkl, Kelham Island. We are looking for a strong leader who can look after the kitchen operations.
Konjö has been operating for 5 years and is at the start of its new journey from street food kitchens into restaurant.
Thursday – Sunday Working week.
Open Thursday evenings only.
Friday & Saturday lunch & Dinner.
Sunday lunch only. Leaving allocated preparation, cleaning and paperwork time.
What we are looking for:
• Experienced Kitchen manager used to working to a high standard with precision and speed
• Detailed knowledge of Asian cuisine and street food in general
• An individual that will help maintain a high food standard, guide, train and lead the junior chefs in the team to achieve the same
• An organise and clean individual who is accustomed to working in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
• The right individual will be focussed on providing high quality service and enjoy creating memorable guest experiences, they will have a positive and professional attitude and possess ability to pass on their experience and knowledge to their staff members
Job Description:
• Ensuring all food and prep is fresh, correct, and ready to go for each service
• Achieve a 5-star rating from environmental health using food hygiene management system. Food Alert 65
• Maintain good stock rotation and labelling practises
• Complete and check back weekly deep cleans maintaining the high cleaning standards
• Complete daily and weekly ordering and keep consistent par levels of stock and prep, neither too much nor too little
• Work alongside Executive chef on menu development, looking at seasonality of certain menu items, changing and adapting menu as and when necessary.
• Ensure all daily paperwork / weekly paperwork is correct and up to date.
