We can’t visit restaurants yet, but we can still support them by buying at-home kits, takeaways, t-shirts, totes and everything in between. Here we share some of the CODE team’s favourite restaurant merchandise from our partners and friends in the industry, from candles shaped like bao to socks with doughnuts on.
First it was ice cream, then it was cookies and now Crosstown has surprised us once again with all the add-ons we need. There are hoodies, keep cups, water bottles and even a scarf covered in doughnuts – but our favourites are the limited-edition Crosstown socks in collaboration with Percival. Stocks for these socks are very limited, so buyers need to quick.

A BAO bun in the form of a candle is the restaurant spin-off we never knew we needed. The bao-shaped candles are made using soy wax, and customers can get them in milky white like the original BAOs, or an orange yellow colour replicating an oversteamed BAO. There’s also a lovely homeware range to check out too.

“Happiness is only real when shared.” Whether you’re the kind of person who likes to share pizza or keep it all to yourself, you can’t go wrong with Pizza Pilgrims t-shirts. There are three different styles available, all with original and quirky designs. The love robot t-shirt makes a sweet Valentine’s present too.

If you’ve been to Max’s Sandwich Shop, you won’t be surprised that the merch is colourful, vibrant and lots of fun. The badges, posters, fridge magnets, and ‘f*** sourdough’ t-shirt are all highlights, but we love the ham, egg ‘n’ chips sticker. Perfect to stick on a laptop, notebook, fridge, or just as a keepsake.

The Flat Iron cleavers are a wonderful piece of restaurant memorabilia, and a great tool for steak lovers too. They’re a very reasonable £12, so it’s no surprise that they sell out quickly. Be sure to keep checking back and order quick once they’re in stock.

We know that most people just use the notes section on their phones nowadays, but sometimes it’s nice to keep it IRL and use a good old-fashioned notebook. And if you’re going to use one, MEATliquor’s ‘Come Hungry, Leave Drunk’ books are a pretty good option.

There’s no shortage of cool collaborations when it comes to Yard Sale Pizza’s merch, with Mangal and Jessie Ware T-shirts and a Loyle Carner Christmas collab just a few of the most recent. Their latest product, together with lockdown success story Top Cuvée, is one of its best yet. The tote bag is a stylish accessory for the only outing we’re making at the moment: the supermarket.
