Nominations are now open for The Good Food Guide’s Best Local Restaurant Awards for 2023. For six weeks, no stone will go unturned in the search for the very best local hospitality in all corners of Britain.
In a time of increasingly challenging operating conditions, diners across the country are called upon to champion their favourite locals that deserve to be put in the spotlight and crowned the best by the 70-year-old restaurant guide.
Since 2009, the Best Local Restaurant Awards have been hugely successful in unearthing some of Britain’s now best-known restaurants including Orwells and Carters of Moseley. The latter took the top prize in 2015 and have since gone on to feature in The Good Food Guide’s Top 20 Most Exciting Restaurants of 2022, and is currently rated ‘Exceptional’ – an accolade held by fewer than 40 restaurants nationwide. This year’s awards are expected to draw in tens of thousands of nominations and bring national recognition to a lesser-known regional gems.
Restaurants across seven areas (Scotland, North East England, North West England, Central & East of England, Wales, London & South East England, and South West England are invited to take part by printing business cards, QR codes and share digital assets to encourage nominations through their own channels.
Nominations are now open until Wednesday 24 May. Find out if you’re eligible and how to participate now. Full information for restaurants can be found HERE.
