With another lockdown imminent, it’s about time we get used to virtual events – and we like the sound of this one. The ethical ingredient company Belazu is holding a second virtual banquet on 4 December, this time in aid of Hospitality Action and the Belazu Foundation.
Hosted by CODE’s Lisa Markwell, the event offers you a chance to cook along with top chefs from the comfort of your own kitchen. The stellar line-up includes Ottolenghi development chef Ixta Belfrage, Quo Vadis chef proprietor Jeremy Lee, chef Ollie Dabbous, James Elliott of Pizza Pilgrims and ANAN’s Eyal Jagermann. Pastry chef Ravneet Gill will guide you through the sweet treats, whilst drink expert Camille Vidal will help you create a cocktail.
Tickets cost £90 a household, and you’ll be provided with enough ingredients to create a five-course vegetarian feast to comfortably feed four people. All you’ll need is good internet connection and basic kitchen equipment.
All proceeds will be shared between The Belazu Foundation – who work with communities in the UK to promote education and healthy eating – and Hospitality Action to aid their assistance of hospitality employees facing poverty and homelessness.
“We have helped thousands of hospitality families put food on the table and pay their bills, when they had nowhere else to turn” says Hospitality Action. “With funds raised via Belazu’s Virtual Banquet, we will be able to provide ongoing assistance to hospitality employees facing poverty and even homelessness this winter.” Now more than ever, these charities need supporting, so if you’re able to, get yourself a ticket and get involved.
