Claridge’s hotel in Mayfair has announced the departure of Martyn Nail, the hotel’s executive chef.
He will leave alongside head chef Adam Person, and the two chefs have 58 years of Claridge’s cooking between them.
In a statement, the hotel said: “Claridge’s has been privileged to work with chef Martyn Nail for over 36 years and chef Adam Peirson MBE for 22 years.
“They are both extremely talented chefs and their culinary creativity and dedicated contribution to Claridge’s has been outstanding during that time.
“We are sorry that they will be leaving Claridge’s and we wish to take this moment to thank them for everything during their time with us, and wish them every future success.”
In a past interview, Nail said, “This kitchen never closes,” and while the sentiment remains true, we wait eagerly to find out who will keep it open next.
