There’s been plenty of announcements about new openings over the past couple of weeks, a sign that a return to normality is coming ever closer. It’s good news this morning for Fulham locals, as the team behind popular Hackney restaurant NEST is heading west to launch FENN.
Started by three friends, executive chef Johnnie Crowe – previously of The Harwood Arms – will be joined by Anglo alumnus Joe Laker. Fans of NEST will be familiar with its produce driven menu, using only one meat at a time to avoid waste and sourcing from small scale farmers across the country. FENN will stay true to this ethos, focusing on creative and seasonal cooking.
There’s both an à la carte menu and chef’s set menu on offer, featuring dishes such as cheese and truffle dumplings, hand-dived Scottish scallop with roast chicken butter and Cornish crab.
Located on Wandsworth Bridge Road, FENN will launch on 13 April . They’ll kick off with just outdoor dining for now – of course – taking advantage of the 14-seater heated terrace. Hopefully from May, the team will be able to welcome guests into its 30-cover dining rom.
