One positive consequence of the strange situation we find ourselves in is that we’re seeing more exciting outdoor openings popping up across the capital. The latest news comes from the Greenwich Peninsula, as it has announced plans for a Design District Canteen next spring.

Design District Canteen is set to be a hub for the creative industries, bringing together a community of 1,800 artists, market traders, design and hospitality businesses in one space. The team is currently looking for six food operators to showcase vibrant food from across the world, a great opportunity for any young entrepreneurs to push boundaries and get support in setting up their food and drinks business.

You’ll get one-to-one mentoring, maintained equipment and a fully fitted production kitchen at your disposal… For more details on how to get involved, email [email protected]

The outdoor space will service more than 10,000 local workers, residents and students – as well as visitors to the nearby O2. The huge outdoor structure looks seriously impressive too – and with plenty of space, is fully versed to the ‘new normal’…

We’ll share more information closer to the opening, but in the meantime you can visit the website here to stay up to date.
