A demonstration is being planned for Monday (19 October) which will bring the hospitality industry to the doorstep of parliament.
HospoDemo, created by Rachel Harty, hopes to highlight the peril for our restaurants, bars, pubs and hotels by gathering people together (with the tools of their trade) with a peaceful – if noisy – protest.
Think cocktail shakers filled with whatever makes the most noise, wooden spoons on saucepans, and so on… Jason Atherton and Tom Aikens are just two of the names involved but there’s power in numbers – CODE will be there and urges you to spread the word and come along too. Monday, of course, is “our” quieter day.
Things start at 10.30am and further details are on the HospoDemo website: https://www.hospodemo.org
