The Langham, London has appointed Marco Carallo as head bartender at Artesian. Carallo will replace Remy Savage, who is moving on to pursue his own projects.
Carallo, originally from Italy, joins Artesian on the back of previous experience as head sommelier at Kaspar’s Seafood Bar & Grill at The Savoy. He then moved to the Middle East working at both Ray’s Bar at the Jumeirah Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi and Hendricks Bar at the Four Seasons Jumeirah Beach in Dubai. During his time there, he took Hendricks Bar to the Top Five Hotel Bar in the Middle East & Africa in 2018 in Tales of the Cocktail.
Carallo noted that he is, “so excited to be back in London in a dream role at Artesian, a bar with so much history and style.” Carallo will join Artesian on October 28 2019, working alongside Bar Manager Anna Sebastian.
