We’re not quite at the lockdown stage of Zoom quizzes again yet, but there’s no denying the world is still very much virtual. One benefit is that consumers and diners missing restaurants been able to connect with their favourite chefs via Instagram lives, Q&As and more. Now, chef Nico Simeone – who has been very active with everything from vegan offshoots to promoting his revolving tasting menus – is launching ‘Six by Nico Masterclasses’ to help people create his dishes at home.
Covering everything from prepping to plating, customers get a masterclass box containing all the ingredients necessary to make two recipes – as well as a bottle of wine with each. Simeone will be on hand to help and guide participants through all the steps via a private YouTube channel.
There’s new dishes to choose from each week, and it sounds as if Simeone has been careful to make the skill level achievable (not all restaurant boxes fall quite into that category…) “It’s our most immersive project to state, starting from today in five cities in the UK,” says the chef. “A very exciting time for our team and a fresh fun experience for our Six by Nico community to learn and build the best possible recipe book imaginable from home.”
Masterclasses are now available in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and from 16 January in Manchester, Liverpool and Belfast. Prices start from £60 for four portions. Customers can choose two recipes to build their box.
