Pitt Cue Co. returns to London

Published 12 November 2019

Original co-founder Jamie Berger has completed a re-acquisition of barbecue favourite Pitt Cue Co. The restaurant will be returning to London this November, kicking off with a Thanksgiving dinner.

Pitt Cue Co. was originally founded by Jamie Berger and Tom Adams as a food truck on the Southbank in 2011. In 2012, it opened its first restaurant site on Soho’s Newburgh Street. The duo went on to sell the business in 2015 and subsequently the restaurant moved to a new larger Devonshire Square site in EC2 until June 2019, when the restaurant went into administration. Berger has now successfully repurchased the intellectual property of the brand.

With plans in place to relaunch, Berger will be joined by many of the original kitchen and front of house team for the one-off Thanksgiving dinner on 28 November. The dinner will feature dishes cooked to original recipes, and in Pitt Cue Co’s original smoker, such as skins & scratchings, bone marrow mash and slaw and coke sticky toffee pudding.

Taking place in a basement in central London, the team will seek to recreate as much of the original site’s atmosphere as possible. Tickets for the dinner cost £75 per head and will be on sale from the 8 November, with only 50 tickets available. For more information and to purchase tickets, please click here
