With warmer months approaching and the trend for outside and collaborative spaces continuing, the makers of Pop Brixton and Peckham Levels are now making their next move to Hackney. A new canalside destination close to Hackney Wick, Hackney Bridge will feature a workspace, events, restaurants, and alfresco bar and street food space Spring in the Courtyard.
Formerly known as Clarnico Quay, the space has had a major makeover and aims ‘to bring to life a cultural destination for local people to use and enjoy, together with workspaces for local businesses and creative workers.’ There are plenty of food traders already signed up to look forward to, including pizza brand Made in Puglia, sustainable British beef from STEAKhaus, traditionally made hot salt bagels, falafel and Ruben sandwiches from The Jewish Deli and Da Fish Ting will be serving soft shell crab and fish burgers.
The pop-up launched yesterday and will run until the end of July, complete with an outdoor bar serving cocktails, and some of the best local craft beers Hackney is known for. The Saturday market kicks off from 1 May, a farmers style market selling local produce.
Local start-ups and food traders are encouraged to apply for a space at Spring in the Courtyard. To find out more, visit the website here
