Japanese restaurant TAKA is opening its second London location in Marylebone. Located on the former site of Pan-Asian restaurant Providores, the restaurant is set to launch in May.
Founded by brother and sister duo Andrew and Anastasia Datsenko, the Marylebone site will seek to replicate the elegant feel of TAKA Mayfair. Launched in September 2017, TAKA Mayfair brought over chefs trained in Tokyo to ensure the restaurant offered authentic sushi, tempura, gyoza and more. Open for both lunch and dinner, the food offering will be complimented by an extensive range of sake and Japanese whisky.
Speaking about the new location, co-owner Andrey Datsenko says “We’re extremely excited to be bringing a bit of Japan to Marylebone this May. The site formally occupied by Providores holds a special place in the community and we’re sure the introduction of our authentic sushi, tempura, and more will be well received. TAKA Shepherd’s Market has solidified itself as a go-to sushi spot in Mayfair, and the same level of high quality and a wide range of choices will continue, as well as some bespoke dishes and drinks for the Marylebone restaurant”
TAKA Marylebone opens in May at 109 Marylebone High St, Marylebone, London, W1U 2RX . For more information, visit their website here
