From birthday celebrations to wedding weekend getaways, we here at CODE HQ use the app offers a lot. As we gear up towards the end of the year, we take some time to look back and bring you some of our favourite experiences of 2022 on CODE.
‘My favourite experience on the CODE app this year was singing ‘It’s Oh So Quiet’ by Björk at my karaoke birthday celebration at Lucky Voice Soho. I was with five of my oldest friends. £40 for 2 hours which was redeemable on drinks!’
Alice Hale, team assistant
‘I love a pub and The White Horse in Mayfair is a particularly lovely one. The food and the booze are top notch. I’ve been a few times this year but It was particularly cosy and Christmassy at our members’ event last month.’
Molly Wade, memberships manager
‘Just before Halloween, I rolled into Jack Solomon’s for a Wednesday night date. We had a WhistlePig old fashioned each (free with the app), two negronis (50% off), and some fries to share. Change from a £20 and I walked out like a champion!’
Maitland Murray, subscription sales
‘With the arrival of summer came an unbelievably good CODE offer at Coombeshead Farm. Hungover from a wedding, we rocked up on a Sunday afternoon and relaxed into the motions of farmhouse life. A superb three-course dinner from Tom Adams revitalised us, as did a drink or two in the infamous honesty bar and the perfect night’s sleep.’
Chloe Hamilton, content editor
‘I miss Mr JI being round the corner from our Soho HQ. I could quite happily go in and order the whole menu, but it’s the prawn ‘in’ toast that has an extra special place in my heart. Here’s hoping it will be back on the app in its new Camden home in the new year.’
Will Lake, COO
‘I’m new to the CODE team so have only just started exploring all the fun the app has to offer. Club Mexicana is already up there as a favourite – the tacos are delicious – and so it’s become a regular lunch spot for me.’
Wadia Neji, marketing executive
‘It was mid-July and I stepped out of the air con of the office into the 40 degree heat. Avoiding inevitable dehydration I stumbled into the Albion for a drink. An oasis of a pub. It was a very, very good pint.’
George Gill, account manager
‘We can see Soho’s Crosstown from our office window and are always trying to avoid temptation. That said, it is my daily coffee spot. One just needs to resist the doughnuts, ice creams and cookies…’
