The Park, Jeremy King Restaurants

Ahead of The Park opening in late spring, Jeremy King speaks to CODE about his newest restaurant on Bayswater Road, what it will be like to work there and the job opportunities currently available.

Can you tell us a little more about The Park and what the offering will be?

The Park shall very much be a Grand Cafe, open all day from 7am serving breakfast, then an all-day menu and brunch on the weekends. It is a very exciting opening for us as the concept of the menu and feel of the restaurant shall be quite different to what we have done previously. The menu will have an American and Italian feel, a varied salad selection, large grill section and fresh pasta. The beverage offering will also focus on these regions. We want to create a restaurant in the area where people feel they can come to us for any occasion and where we are part of the community. 

As well as working alongside yourself, can you tell us about the senior team at The Park?

Michelle Chillingworth shall be General Manager. She worked for The Wolseley Hospitality Group recently as GM of The Delaunay and previously GM of Fischers. Our Executive Chef is Samantha Williams, who was previously Group Executive Chef of Murano Group. Brad Warnock is our Reception Manager, who was previously at Brasserie Zedel as Front of House Manager. We are still looking for Head Pastry Chef to join the team…

What sort of people are you looking to hire for The Park?

We are looking for people who really want to be a part of creating something special. We want staff who want to work as part of a large team and who also want to learn. For us it is all about having the right attitude and if staff have this we can teach them the rest. For all our departments, training will be a large focus for us and we want The Park to become somewhere where people know they will get exposure to different areas of the business and will have the opportunity to grow and develop. 

What job opportunities are there at The Park?

FOH we are looking for Restaurant Manager, Senior Maitre d, Maitre d’s, Cloakroom attendants, Doorperson, Bartenders, Head Bartender, Senior Waiters and Expeditors. BOH we are looking for Sous Chefs, Head Pastry Chef, Pastry Sous Chef, Senior Chef de Parties, Chefs De Parties, Breakfast Chef, Commis, Back of House Supervisors.
